Update

Well...... long time, no blogging. This is going to be a strictly informative update. The reason being - our camera has died!!!! There is something wrong with the image part inside the camera and when you take a picture it has a way of coming out all yellow-looking. So needless to say, we haven't been taking many pictures this month.

We have been busy hosting a team from Grace Community Church in L.A. They are a great group, who have been working really hard the last couple weeks. The trusses are up on the hospice and the sheeting is in the process of being put on. Exciting!!!!! However, it didn't start out great - here's our truss story......

Trusses were to be delivered to the job site on Wed. June 6 (I think). Conrad gets a phone call late in the afternoon from the truss guy saying that he has wrapped the trusses around a tree on his way to the job site and about half of them are wrecked. Fun, fun, fun!!! So Conrad proceeds to explain to him that there is a team coming from the States on Friday June 8 SPECIFICALLY to put up the trusses and when can he expect them to be fixed and delivered. Tuesday, June 12th is the new delievery date. Tuesday comes and goes, nope they will be done by Thursday. Meanwhile, in order to speed this process up, Conrad and the team decide to go and help the truss guy fix the trusses, so they head out there and discover that nope, not half the trusses, but ALL the trusses have been damaged. So they spend the day out there helping to fix the broken trusses and they are finally delivered safely on Thursday afternoon. (a week late, for those of you keeping track of the dates!) But the neat part of the story (and maybe a lesson learned) is that the guys were given a unique way to witness and minister to the people at the truss company by going and helping them out. Hopefully God planted some seeds through them.

Other than that, things are moving along at a steady pace here. Brian, Anita and family made it back safely from the States. It has been great to have them back in Jo'burg again. We are starting to count down the days until our return to Canada. Currently, it is 4 1/2 weeks, or 32 days. We are eagerly anticipating coming home, but at the same time our hearts are sad as we think about leaving our friends and home here.

Keep checking back and hopefully we will be able to post some pictures here soon. Until next time........
