Summer holidays

We flew to Ontario for week at the end of July for some holidays. It was a nice, relaxing week visiting with family and getting some sightseeing in. On Tuesday, July 29th, my Mom and Dad volunteered to look after Zachary, so Conrad and I could spend some time together. Awesome!!! So we drove around St. Catherines and Niagra-on-the-Lake checking the area out.
We drove past the first lock in the Welland Canal just in time to see a boat leave. As neither one of us had seen the Welland Canal before, we stopped and got out to take a look. It was very interesting to watch and we ended up staying there for at least an hour, watching one boat leave the lock and another one go in and out. Then the bridge went up so the ship could pass under it. Again, very cool!

Then after an afternoon of driving around, we headed to Toronto for supper at the CN Tower. What a great way to end the day. I don't like elevators, so I had never been up before, and it was Conrad's first time too. It was fabulous. Great meal and incredible views!!

There was a Bluejays game on, so we caught a glimpse of it as we rotated around the restaurant.

Zachary finally met his great-grandma. She thought he was a sweetheart! What a cutie!!!!!

Conrad took some nice pictures of my uncle's cornfields.
